This basic version contains the full suite of cleaning and performance boosting tools associated with System Mechanic, this includes scanning for and removing potentially unwanted programs (PUPs) which is very useful given this basic version is missing the antivirus solution found in the two higher up versions. Finally, the top package containing all available tools is System Mechanic Ultimate Defense. Iolo System Mechanic is available in 3 different versions, these start with the basic System Mechanic package and build upwards adding more in-depth cleaning, privacy and security tools along the way. In this section of the review I will be looking at Iolo System Mechanic in detail, initially comparing the 3 different versions of this software product and then delving in and looking at many of the individual tools themselves in more depth.
